It has come to notice that the Chinese merchant Li Shebo, having travelled previously to Timor, died there. His goods and other effects were accordingly shipped back to Macau, as reported. These items are currently held in custody by the Judicial Officer, pending verification of the deceased’s next of kin. All concerned parties have been formally instructed to cooperate in this matter, and the case remains officially recorded on file. The said goods are now deposited at the shop.

The heir apparent of the Yishulide dynasty, being the closest surviving relative, is hereby instructed to take possession of all goods left by the late Li Shebo and to arrange for their sale.
This directive is issued accordingly. Upon receipt of this order, the relevant foreign headman is to accompany the appointed imperial officers, local guarantors, and interpreters to the premises where Li Shebo’s estate is held, and there formally assume custody of the deceased’s effects.
