| Summary: | This comprehensive glossary provides equivalent pairs in Chinese (characters), pinyin, Portuguese, and English for the vast Chinese terminology recurring in articles on the Foundation of Macao in Chinese historiography, published in the first two editions of RC International. Its main argument is to present a tool for terminological standardization that facilitates reading and comparison across texts by different authors and translators. Methodologically, the glossary compiles entries organized according to a coded classification (T – Toponyms; D – Administrative departments in the imperial bureaucracy; C – Official positions; E/H – Historical periods; P – Personalities; I – Institutions; V – Miscellany). In addition to providing equivalents in traditional and simplified Chinese, pinyin, Portuguese, and English, it records usage notes and references to sources, acknowledging the collaborative and open-ended nature of the project.
