The conclusions indicate that the exclusion of Macau cannot be read merely as a descriptive gap, but as evidence of limits in the analytical grid and in the sources privileged by Boxer, revealing tensions between Anglo-Saxon historical writing on empires and the centrality of the colonial specificities of Portuguese Asia. |
