As in the Kingdom of Tuncal there are two bishops—one of French nationality and the other Spanish—Your Royal Highness holds, by virtue of territorial sovereignty over this Kingdom of Tuncal, an indisputable right of patronage (*padroado*) over the ecclesiastical benefices therein. This right was explicitly affirmed by His Holiness Pope Pius VI as belonging to Your Highness. It is therefore essential that all disputes between the aforementioned bishops—those appointed by the Sacred Congregation for the Propagation of the Faith (*Propaganda Fide*), the Cathedral Chapter (*Conovo*), and the collegiate chapter (*Lecto*)—be resolved definitively by the Holy See. To this end, His Holiness must formally intervene, issuing an authentic and authoritative decree, duly empowered with all necessary canonical faculties, and prescribing precise directives to prevent schism, disorder, and ambiguity. Such intervention must be both unequivocal and definitive; without it, neither the diminished ecclesiastical structure in that region nor even the bishops themselves would be able lawfully to exercise their infallible rights and jurisdiction in matters pertaining to this delicate and sensitive pastoral governance.
